The GWM WEY 03 combines a combustion engine with a duo of electric motors. One resides at the front, linked to the combustion engine's drivetrain through a clutch. Meanwhile, the rear electric motor is situated at the rear axle, directly powering the rear wheels. This arrangement not only enables all-wheel drive functionality but also facilitates regenerative braking and electric-only driving modes. The 9-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, employing two clutches, ensures seamless transitions between gears.

2 GWM WEY vehicles previously sold under the "Coffee 02" moniker are now being marketed and sold as "GWM WEY 03". This is part of GWM's transition to rename its existing and future vehicle lines. Currently and in the future, there will be additional WEY 03 trim lines available, with varying specifications and ratings for (including but not limited to) battery power, range, consumption and emissions. All information subject to change and is up to date as of 22 November 2023.

 

3 The stated figures have been calculated using the legally required measurement techniques. Previously, consumption figures were measured using the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Since 1 September 2017, certain new vehicles have been given type approval in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure, WLTP). In this procedure three driving cycles are defined, they represent vehicle speed plotted over a timeline (WLTC = Worldwide harmonized Light Duty Test Cycle). Compared with NEDC, WLTP represents a more realistic procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. As of 1 September 2018, NEDC is gradually being replaced by WLTP. The fuel consumption figures and CO₂ emissions measured using WLTP are, in many cases, higher than those measured using NEDC, which is attributable to the more realistic test conditions associated with WLTP.

Aerodynamics, weight and rolling resistance may change due to optional extras and accessories and have the ability – just like personal driving style and weather/traffic conditions – to influence the fuel consumption, electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions and on-road performance of a vehicle.

4 The stated charging times have been determined based on a charging power of 50kW of the DC charging station and 11kW for the AC wallbox and the maximum battery capacity of 34 kWh to charge the vehicle's battery from 0% to 80% for DC and from 0 % to 100 % for AC. Charging times depend on outside temperature, charging cable and charging station/wallbox. These and other external factors can extend the charging times.

The stated AC and DC charging times have been calculated based on charging under the average temperature of +/-25°C.

The charging times are independent of the charging station manufacturer, but the charging station must naturally supply more or equal to 50kW at the time of charging.
