GWM Technology
GWM's Dedicated Hybrid Technology, known as DHT, combines a high-efficiency 1.5T dedicated hybrid engine, an intelligent drive module and high-power battery, balancing efficiency and performance.
GWM DHT —— Smart efficiency. Steady performance. Built to last.
Research & Development
GWM is committed to long-term investment in R&D, supported by a global network spanning China, Europe, Asia and North America.
GWM’s long-term R&D commitment is supported by a team of over 23,000 engineers and researchers. To date, the company has filed nearly 50,000 patents, with close to 30,000 granted, reflecting strong and consistent innovation capability.
The global R&D system enables GWM to develop vehicles and technologies that meet diverse regulatory, environmental and user requirements across markets.
Integrated R&D Facilities
At GWM’s headquarters, the R&D Center spans 250,000 square metres and integrates vehicle engineering, prototyping, testing, design and data systems, providing comprehensive support across the entire vehicle development process.
Its testing facilities form a nationally leading laboratory platform, supporting validation, optimisation and certification for global markets.
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Lab
GWM operates advanced EMC testing facilities capable of meeting EU, China and North American standards, with test reports recognised in over 70 countries.
Real-world electromagnetic conditions identified during road testing— including in Europe—can be accurately reproduced in the laboratory, enabling rapid diagnosis and targeted optimisation.
NVH Semi-Anechoic Chamber
Dedicated semi-anechoic chambers support comprehensive NVH testing for both conventional and new energy vehicles.
These facilities enable evaluation and refinement of noise, vibration and acoustic comfort, contributing to quieter cabins and improved ride quality across development stages.
Environmental Wind Tunnel Lab
GWM operates an advanced environmental wind tunnel designed to international standards, capable of simulating temperatures from –40°C to +60°C, wind speeds up to 250 km/h, full-spectrum solar radiation, and controlled rain and snow conditions.
European driving environments—from Mediterranean summer heat to Nordic winter conditions—can be accurately reproduced, supporting climate-specific validation independent of season.
Multi-Angle Crash Testing Lab
GWM’s large-scale multi-angle crash testing facility supports complex accident scenario simulation, including integrated active and passive safety testing.
The facility enables advanced validation of emergency braking and collision sequences, supporting the development of next-generation safety systems.
GWM Smart Factory
GWM operates a global network of smart manufacturing facilities designed for quality, efficiency and consistency.
