The information is provided in accordance with the Car Energy Consumption Labelling Ordinance. The specified values were determined according to the prescribed measurement procedure WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure). which gradually replaced the former NEDC procedure (New European Driving Cycle) from 1 September 2018. In this procedure three driving cycles are defined, they represent vehicle speed plotted over a timeline (WLTC = Worldwide harmonized Light Duty Test Cycle).

The vehicles have been recommended that should no longer be homologated on the basis of the NEDC procedure to state the WLTP values, which are in many cases higher than those according to the former NEDC procedure due to the more realistic test conditions.

The fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions of a car depend not only on the efficient use of fuel by the car, but also on driving style and other non-technical factors. CO₂ is the greenhouse gas primarily responsible for global warming. A guide on the fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions of all new car models offered in Germany can be viewed free of charge at every sales point in Germany where new cars are exhibited or offered. The guide is also available here: https://www.dat.de/co2/.
